Pansea Beach
At the north end of Surin Beach in a small cove is Pansea Beach. Unfortunately, you cannot visit this beach unless you stay at one of the resorts there. Two rather exclusive resorts block access to the beach. The Amanpuri Resort is particularly upmarket and attracts many national and international celebrities and VIPs. These people like their privacy and the hotel seems to be above the law that says all Thailand's beaches are public. They only allow access to the beach for guests and even if you try to go by boat, they will chase you off.
Well it is a rubbish beach anyway. Oh okay then, by all accounts it is lovely beach. It is just a shame those rich folks won't share it with the rest of us. Still if you have the money and the desire for some VIP treatment then this is a good place to get away from it all.
The beach has golden, powdery sand and is ringed by coconut palms. The beach slopes smoothly into the sea and is good for bathing.
The hotels provide sun loungers and water sports for their guests.
